It was a cloudy and rainy day when I drew this. I could hear the rain begin, and end, only to begin again. I made a note that read 'to write about water without knowing where to start'. I found myself singing James Taylor's 'Fire and Rain' in my head while I drew - not quite, but close enough!
Lovely tile, limiting the number of patterns brings focus. (Excellent choice of song, too!

ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful Tile. It is like a thesis for a graduate class in line control. I aspire to your ability to draw straight and curved lines so close, so parallel and so uniformly in weight. Terrific shading. Awesome work.
